Camp Guidelines

Name Tags

EMU requires that name tags be worn at ALL times to identify you are part of our group, especially when entering the dining room.


Every member is expected to volunteer for at least two hours of service or be willing to take on an assigned duty. Please be there at least 5 minutes before your start time

Dress Code

Please remember that Lehman is our sanctuary during the week. Let’s use it in quiet reverence and respect for God. In general, decent and appropriate clothing is required, especially in classes, forums, and services. Shorts are not allowed during required attendances. In the dining room and snack shop area, as in any eating establishment, shirts, and shoes are required.

Child Care

Parents and guardians must always assume full responsibility for the children in their care. Do not let your children run around without adult supervision.


There will be no changing of beds, rooms, or dorms. Furniture is not to be moved out of any room. Dorm rooms are to be kept unlocked at all times. Dorm rooms are to be restored to how they were when you arrived.


Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. The following could result in disciplinary action, including dismissal from Camp:

  • Being on Campus unregistered.
  • Possession or use of any /or use of any type of drugs, tobacco, alcohol, or fireworks of any kind (EMU is an Alcohol, Tobacco, & Drug-Free Campus). This applies to ALL ages, not just teens.
  • Girls/Boys found in the others’ living quarters
  • Town ordinance requires ALL QUIET from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am
  • Pranking, bullying, unacceptable texting, etc., will not be tolerated!
  • Destruction of any Campus property. Fines will be assessed
  • Leaving campus during any required activity or after Inspiration Time
  • Reports from Campus Security, local police, or residents regarding unacceptable behavior or trespassing
  • Disrespect toward Counselors, Deans, Camp Staff, Campus Staff, Ministers or Elders
  • Unauthorized entrance to “OFF LIMIT” rooms and/or unauthorized use of sports equipment
  • Use of Roller Blades, skateboards or hoverboards on campus
Electronic Devices

Silence all cell phones, tablets, and other electronic devices when entering the sanctuary, classes, forums, or any other activity of required attendance. Do not use your phones for anything other than Bible activities during any required attendance. Individuals abusing this policy will be subject to the discipline part of these guidelines. The TVs in the residence lounges are not to be turned on during our stay at EMU. No laser pointers.


No flash pictures. Please be respectful in the auditorium. This is our sanctuary.
